Cakes by Nina Weddings - Transparent Price Guide

At Cakes by Nina Weddings we believe in being completely transparent with our pricing, as that is one of the biggest stresses our couples report to us, having to guess a price really puts couples off from ordering.

Hence our prices start from roughly £495 upwards, but we are unique in that we do disclose ALL our prices against each image within our extensive GALLERY just click on any sub category within our Gallery ie Floral scroll down the page and click on any image and full disclosed prices are there along with some other useful information. These prices are updated yearly in-line with inflation and cost of ingredients.

Cakes by Nina Weddings - Delivery and Set-up Service

Our standard rate for delivery is currently £25, this will depend on how far we need to travel, when we travel to London this is now £150 to cover ULEZ and Congestion Charges and how long it actually takes to get in and out of London. To Essex this is £95.00 (two hours away) - We do also offer a collection option but that is at your own risk. Some venues where we are a recommended supplier we do offer this service for free.

When Cakes by Nina Weddings talks about double size cakes that means four layers of cake instead and this will yield approximately: - Weddings portions are approx 1" x 1"

Cakes by Nina - Wedding Cake FAQ

How far in advance should we book our wedding cake?

Most couples book 12 - 18 months in advance, especially for peak summer dates. We recommend securing your date as early as possible, as we take on a limited number of weddings each month to maintain our quality.

What is the minimum spend for wedding cakes?

Our minimum spend for wedding cakes is £495 with three tiers starting from £595

How much do your wedding cakes costs?

We are unique in that we do have transparent pricing on all our images within this website.

A guideline smooth finished full buttercream - 3 tier from £595 upwards
Textured/floral buttercream - 3 tier from £645
Detailed fondant/sugar flowers - 3 tier from £645

We are happy to provide a quote if you want something bespoke or something you have found elsewhere.

Do you offer tasting boxes?

Yes - tasting boxes can be ordered here These are sent out when we can schedule them in so keep an eye out on the next available date, spaces are limited. They include a curated selection of our most popular flavours and cost £30. Tasting boxes are a non-profit item and are part of our wedding cake service.

Can we choose our own flavours?

Tasting boxes come as a set menu so we can prepare them efficiently.

Once you book your wedding cake, you can have any flavour your would like for your actual wedding cake.

Do you cater for allergens?

We do cater for allergens please see our menu for details - however if your allergen is of a life threatening nature we will not take on your order. We do not cater for nut free cakes.

Do you deliver and set up the cake at the venue?

Yes - there is a small additional charge for setting up and delivery, we do also offer an cake stand hire service - which a refundable security deposit is required.

How do we secure our date?

a £100 non-refundable booking fee secures your date along with our booking order form The remaining balance is due approximately four weeks before your wedding, to wish we will send you an final invoice.

Can you work with Fresh Flowers

Yes - we can work with your florist flowers please ensure the flowers are food-safe - please check out our list on fresh flowers to see what flowers are safe to put on cakes.

Do you make Sugar Flowers?

Yes - absolutely we can we specialist in exquisite attention to detail sugar flowers.

Can you recreate a cake from Pinterest?

We never claim to copy or replicate any other cake designers cake, but we can use an design for inspiration purposes to create a bespoke design similar in feel but in our own style.

Do you do in person consultations

We no longer do in person consultations, due to many no shows and it was becoming too time consuming, however we do offer a whatsapp video call or zoom call if you want to chat in person, we can then talk through designs you like, colours, how many cake is form to which I can go away and create a design and quote for you.

Do you offer dummy tiers?

Yes we do, dummy tiers are available for height or impact and to reduce the costs.

What if we need to postpone our wedding?

We can transfer your booking to your new date subject to availability. If new date is not available your do loose your non refundable booking fee.
